Dr. Ooi is actively involved in research on heart failure and heart transplantation, leading both investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies. He has received funding from the American Heart Association (AHA), Vanderbilt Institute for Clinical and Translational Research (VICTR), and Veterans Affairs Quality Enhancement Research Initiative (VA QUERI). He currently serves as a co-investigator on studies supported by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and the Veterans Affairs (VA). His work aims to improve treatments and outcomes for patients with advanced heart conditions.
